Hi, since there seems to be no comment function for the articles on this site, I'd like to express my thanks for the very helpful article at this place.

Method 1 works great on my online server, so I am pretty sure that method 2 and (especially) 3 will, too.

But, neither method works on my local webserver (Win2k, WAMP, Apache 1.3.23, PHP 4.1.1, set up with PHPTriad) - all I get is an internal server error.
I am not the most versed PHP specialist out there so I'd like to ask you people here whether there maybe is a webserver directive I have to change to get it to work.

Later,
Kryz

I've just upgraded (for my local webserver) to PHP 4.3.6, and now I do not get an internal error using something like article.php/999/1, but rather "No input file specified.". Anyone knows what's going on?

Somewhere else I found:
http://discussion.dreamhost.com/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=forum_programming&Number=10198&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=14&part=

and:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_rewrite.html

That doesn't help me, though. Never mind, most probably my webserver set-up is faulty anyway. I'll use my online server for tests. Thanks anyway for stopping by :-)

I believe the article says that it is only for Apache with Linux. It doesn't work with other setups.

(ps... still in Africa, heading back late tonight, just checking in).

What're you doing in Africa then? I thought you said you don't take any holidays :)

At least everything works online. :)
