Google links

Hi all,

Was just wondering why when I do link:www.madabout-kitcars.com in google it only brings back 13 links when I know there are quite a few more.

It should show around 80 - am I doing something wrong?

Looking at your PR it seems either a lot of your backlinks haven't been detected / updated yet or they are of a low PR meaning they wouldn't show up in your backlinks anyway.

Only PR4+ links show up in a backlink search.

This search (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.madabout-kitcars&btnG=Search&meta=) should give a better idea.

That is usually correct, but I've seen PR3 ones and PR0 zeal listings...

Yeah Ive seen PR3 ones too.

I think maybe the limit is something like PR3.5+, so only PR4+ are guaranteed to be there and PR3 might show if its high enough.

Cheers r2d2, that's more like the number of links shown on Alexa, how did you come up with that search string?

Guess the PR link would make sense although I know of a few sites that have a PR of 4 or more that have linked to me for years but do not show in that list.

Googles a mystery to me :(

I've seen sites with PR's of 2 show up in backlinks.

Just have to search for part of ur URL so Google will find it in the links. If you put in the whole URL, it just returns that page.

You need to check they are standard HTML links with no redirects or javascript.

I've never seen any logic in what backlinks show up in that search, and which don't. I've seen low PR ones show, and high PR ones not. Links from related or unrelated sites, no real logic to it that I can see.
