I am interested in selling a domain I have been holding for years. I was wondering where would be the best place to do this in order to get the most from my sale.

I have visited both Afternic and Sedo, but was unsure if it is best to go with them or not.

The domain I am selling (zionist.com) will be of greater interest, and thus fetch a higher price, from a small niche group, which may or may not frequent the above mentioned sites...

Any direction here would be appreciated.

Have you tried or thought of Ebay as a place for that?

I did take a peek at Ebay for doing this. But, was somewhat turned off by the very chaotic layout and the amount of what appeared to be scams listed in the "domain name" section.

I feared my listing would never get viewed...

True got a point there. But what does your domain name your selling sorta stand for in the world? And how much did ya purchase it for? And now how much are you wanting for it?

Thanks, I will give all of those a shot. Are they similar to Afternic and Sedo?

If so, I was wondering - will I get in trouble for listing the domain on more than one of these sites?

I'd try http://www.webhostingtalk.com. There's a fair chance you'll find an interested buyer if the site's entertainment or gaming related of some sort.

You won't get in trouble if you make a post on each of those sites stating that you are taking offers on the name and that you have posted on multiple sites.

Some of these sites also have auction systems that you can sell your name on. you WILL cause problems if you list your domain in an auction and also post it for sale elsewhere.

You are very correct.
