View Full Version : New Ad Networks

Two existing online advertising companies are preparing to expand, both saying that their adnetworks will become as respected as the current ones, and one of them even stating that there adnetwork will be far better for both advertisers and publishers than the likes of fastclick and tribal fusion.

So who are these ad companies now and how are they expanding?

The first ad company, that many of you will know is expanding, is Casale Media (www.casalemedia.com) which is know currently for there high rates on popups, almost as high as fastclicks, and there tollerance towards sites that fastclick don't like (source: Miki, who has had all his sites including an emotions one and a humour one accepted into their network).

So how are Casale Media expanding?

So far all we know is that they will be doing CPM banners and skyscrapers. Whether this includes wide skys & leaderboards is unknown, and whether they will do rectangles like fastclick is unknown.

The second company is Azoogle Ads (www.azoogleads.com) famous for their CPA offers, which very high pay outs ($0.52 per free download of screensavers/cursors/smileys, $24 per free cell phone with only a 2 page lead, etc).

So how are Azoogle Ads expanding?

I know alot about their expansion as I have actually been helping them. Their upgade is called 'Blue Time' (as the interface for publishers has a blue feel) and will include 'all sizes' of ads. I will give you an update of whether they are doing popups and how selective they are going to be as I get the information.

So what does all this mean to me, the average lazy Website Publishian who believes Dan O'Brian's Viagra Hosting's claim that it is always up?

Well it at the least it means more revenue than you currently make after you exhaust Tribal, Burst & Fastclick on your sites, meaning LOLOL's $80 from ad tegrity a month will change to $300-$600 from Casale or Azoogle Ads.

Depending on how these networks do business we could see some primary adnetworks, to my eyes Casale looks like a future fastclick, while Azoogle Ads looks like a future Burst, but with a far better tracking system.

They could even go further, Tribal Fusion rates for the masses possibly...

Don't put the cart before the horse.

The Internet is littered with the carcasses of failed ad networks. There is a reason some ad networks are picky, because advertisers are picky. But these networks are less picky and they're going to get better and higher paying advertisers because of it? It doesn't work like that.

If these ad networks are successful they'll do what all ad networks eventually do, cut the bad sites -- the same sites that get rejected from the established ad networks.

I really do wish I had a crystal ball that predicts the future as well as you.

I thought one of your principals was to be optomistic, you not being very optomistic at the moment...

Is optimism a principal? I don't think it can be.

I'm optimistic about the future of Internet advertising. But do I think that two small relatively new companies are suddenly going to grow and provide new revenue sources to web publishers the likes of which have not been seen since 1999? No.

I don't put the cart before the horse. I have experience in this industry, I've been doing this for about 5 years now. I've seen too many ad networks fail to believe the kinds of claims you're making.

Saying you're going to do something is not the same thing as actually doing it. If there was some easy way to get higher paying advertising other companies would be trying it. The real key to providing higher revenues is relationships with large companies and brick & mortar advertising agencies. Companies like Fastclick, TribalFusion, and especially Burst have this. These smaller companies do not.

Azoogle Ads has relationships with Fun Web Products Inc (AKA Smiley Central) and DirecTV and Sprint.

Infact Azoogle have over 200 of their own properties. I'm prepared to bet $100 that their adnetwork will be profitable.

Profitable? What does that mean? That publishers will make money with them? They already are. That the company itself will turn a profit? It probably already is.

Do they really have relationships with DirecTV and Sprint? Or are they reselling those ads for a larger network (most smaller networks do that).

What are you basing your opinion of their inevitable dominance of the web advertising industry on? Your 6 months of experience? Your couple hundred dollars in revenue per month?

What makes you so sure that this place is going to outperform fastclick by 400% in the near future?

They are not a small network at the moment Chris, they are the worlds largest email marketing network.

Azoogle's an awful company that spams the hell out of mail servers and costs us all money in the long run. A quick Google search of their name is evidence enough.

Nah, they're great. I've had a problem with payment for last month, they're onto the case straight away. Also, they usually only send out checks, but are doing something different for me for a one off. They seem to take into consideration individual needs rather than just the whole lot of publishers.

Azoogle allow you to email their offers but do not email out offers themselves. Period.

Anti-Spam groups used to hate Azoogle - they might still, I just know this because they always got their IP blocks blacklisten with BurstNET.

I think they changed how their business works now though.

Just a mostly unrelated comment. :P

Azoogle has never spammed. All the emails they used to send were to people who had signed up to get the emails.
