Hi,

I have a site that uses location based code but it is really hard to test..

I wonder if anyone could spare a couple of minutes to visit my site and let me know the following:

www.whoshungover.com

1) Initial detected location: how accurate was it?
2) After clicking 'get accurate location': how accurate was it? (not all browsers will support this)
3) Could you also click on the button so i can build some stats from users in various locations..

Please ignore how basic the site looks at the moment - im trying to get the fundamentals working first :)

Many thanks to all that help me :)

Didn't work at all for me. You have script errors:

Are you are using firefox? is anybody else having this issue?

thansk for giving it a go :)

Doesn't work in FF either.

Doesn't work in Opera either.

In Chrome it says I didn't share my geolocation.

Sarfari for Windows told me you wanted to use my location. Said ok for 1 day. Still didn't work.

Sounds like you have built something that is browser specific.

is there any chance you could try these sites: (they are not mine - just wanted to check its just mine as i have tested on chrome, ie and firefox and all work for me both at home and at work)

http://npdoty.name/location/
http://almaer.com/blog/where-are-you-using-the-new-ajax-clientlocation-api

the above two work for you then i guess its back to the drawing board!

thansk again :)

Ie:

If you're using a supported browser, then I can more precisely determine your location with your permission. I promise I won't store your location or share it with anyone.

Browser not supported.

If you want to try this out, download the latest version of Firefox, or borrow somebody's iPhone.

I think that you are talking to me from...
Crap, I don't know. Good hiding!
