Sudden change in traffic

Hello,
This is my second thread. I would like to aske if anyone can advise me on
a traffic issue.

Up to march this year the traffic to my website Roymech.co.uk has steadily improved on a year to year basis over 9 years. On google I appear on the first
page on a wide variety of relevant search topics.

Suddenly at the start of April the traffic to my website has dropped significantly as has my income from Google Adsense.

Can anyone give me advise on how to find out what is happening: Is there a
general downturn on engineering info websites. Am I under some sort
of attack . Is someone stealing my users.

Have you heard of the Panda update Google did?

"Panda Update"... I have not heard of this - It is the most obvious reason
for my change in traffic.

I have checked google search for various keywords "coefficient of friction", "shaft limits" etc and I am still very high on the first page of results.
It may be that while some of my pages are still high ranked others have slipped- I have over five hundred pages.

From reading the online information my website is one that is likley to suffer . I place a bar of adverts as the first item on my pages , my site is UK based, my content is generally similar to content found elsewhere.
