Would you pay for a Wordpress Theme?

There are so many free themese available, but who has paid for a wordpress theme (either to get extra functionality or for a certain design) and would you reccomend one?

I have paid. I can't really recommend one though. It isn't a huge expense to get one.

You definitely don't want a free one that is going to require a spammy footer link.
