Writing alt text is recommended for 2 reasons: accessibility and SEO. I have a question with regard to SEO. Is there any recommended length for alt text? 10 characters? 50? 100? Case by case?
Doesn't it just matter what your keywords are if your using it for SEO?

Just write enough to describe what the image is succinctly and make sure your keywords are there.

I am new to web design, but can I add all of my key words to the pictures on my site will the look at this as spam? My keys are between 244 and 250.
Thank you,
Jeff

Yes it will look "spammy". Just use text relevant to the image OR Your main key phase. Adding 244-250 keywords to an image will add no benefit.
