I haven't seen a PR update for soo long. Nevertheless I get strangely high rankings on ZERO PR pages. For example, I am fluctuating between 15-25 SERP for "carb counter" and my page has 0 rank.

Have anyone noticed sites that rank high with 0 PR on competitive keywords?

I think the last Toolbar PR update occured in January. Doesn't mean PR hasn't updated since then, just that the Toolbar hasn't been refreshed. Those 0 PR pages probably do have some PR.

I wish they would refresh it more...

Very much so. Last toolbar update was mid jan - My casino site has a DMOZ entry and loads of on topic links since then... still not getting much traffic though  !

I have sites the same way. My power tools site launched in January has nice rankings and has been deeply crawled twice. And yet no PR on the toolbar.

Will they ever update our PR toolbar ? I'm seriously starting to doubt this.

I'm almost certain they will. They want people to continue using it after all. They will either update it or remove it completely.

Well I'm thinking they will remove it.

They may move the PageRank part, but keep the rest. I bet a lot of their searches come from the toolbar.

Even if it didn't have PR I would still use it for the popup blocker and search.

PR is just a game for me - I like watching it. But I think it's become too obsessive for some people...

On some of my site it is for me, but on the optomized ones that have a chance at top results...

They definatly won't take away the toolbar... they might take away pagerank... but I don't think they will just take it away, they might implement a new feature to compensate.

I wasn't saying they will remove the toolbar, just the pagerank part of it.
