Google Directory update?

I happened to search Google for "Casino Review Pages" (http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&safe=off&c2coff=1&q=%22casino+review+pages%22&btnG=Google+Search) to see where I was ('bout 8th), and I noticed the directory link for the Google directory (the section I'm in on DMOZ), so had a look at the directory section, but I'm not in the Google one....

Mid update? Or wishful thinking?

Google updates their DMOZ data only sporadically now -- probably because DMOZ has problems making updated dumps available.

Yeah I know they havent done it for ages, which is why I was surprised when the link came up under my site. Thought they might be mid update or something? How else could they link my site with that category?

His uses a direct feed, not a data dump.

DMOZ *had* some problems with the data dumps early last year, but there have been no problems with them in the last 6-9 months. So the fault is on Google for the lack of updates...

Hmmm, just noticed a strange referrance in the log, and checked it out, then went on to find this (http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=off&c2coff=1&cat=gwd%2FTop&q=%22casino+review+pages%22&btnG=Google+Search) . I appear in a Google Directory search, but dont show in the directory section! Very strange.
