Hi all,
I've been searching for a CMS with which I would create my reference site I have in mind. I finally found a cool site in which you can research different CMSs as to their capabilities:
http://www.cmsmatrix.org/matrix/cms-matrix?func=search
Now my question is this: What are the crucial SEO aspects of a CMS? What features are a must? for example, since these CMSs have data base, are they going to generate dynamic pages? and what feature should be there to help handle this issue?
I would also appreciate if anyone has a recommendation for any SEO friendly CMS.
Perhaps an article should be written about this issue. What do you think Chris?

Most CMS's these days are pretty good with SEO..

Main thing i can think of is SEO friendly URLs.

Thanks databloc,
Some of the CMSs I've checked do offer seo friendly URLs. does it mean further manual handling of the URL wont be necessary (as indicated by Chris on his article at: http://www.websitepublisher.net/article/search_engine_friendly_urls/
Because I have NO php background.
Thanks

Search engine friendly URLs.
Proper use of title tags (changing for each page - you'd be surprised at which ones don't do this).
I also like the ability to put ads automatically into the interior of articles as well as article pagination.

For beginners, I'd recommend just using wordpress - it is easy to skin and there are a variety of contributions for turning it into a CMS.
